Miley Ray Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23, 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee and raised in Thompson's Station, Tennessee to Tish Cyrus & Billy Ray Cyrus. There are five of her siblings: two half-brothers and a half-sister and a younger brother and sister. The parents of Miley named her hoping they would have her succeed. Her nickname from childhood, Smiley, due to her infectious personality later changed to Miley. Her maternal grandfather was Democratic politician Ron Cyrus. Cyrus attended Heritage Elementary School, Tennessee. Cyrus together with her parents, relocated to Toronto Canada around 2001, at the age of eight. Their father Billy Ray played a character on the TV series Doc. Cyrus made the decision to start acting around that date. Her father was the lead on the screen in Doc (2001). Additionally, she had an appearance in Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003). Cyrus played as a character in Hannah Montana (2006) (a Disney show about a teenage woman with a dual life as a performer) as the main character. The actress was joined by her father for the second time. Following the success of the show, it was a time of hit songs, sold-out tour dates and deals for merchandise. Cyrus was a teenage superstar. After the success that was Hannah Montana 2006, Cyrus moved into other role. She was Ronnie Miller and Lola alongside Demi Moore in The Last Song 2010 and LOL 2012.
