Taylor's professional career started on YouTube. She started with making ASMR videos on her phone. PewDiePie also featured her in a gaming online video just after she hit 50,000 subs approximately 1 1/2 months after launching the first video. Taylor quit working for her Youtube channel at two months. There were close to 100,000 subscribers. The reason for this was technical difficulties and she was overwhelmed. After a month long break Taylor began to make videos in the new year, such as the well-known ASMR 10 Triggers To Help You sleep (35 million views as of the month of August, 2022). In July 2017, she posted another very popular video ASMR 20 Triggers to Help You sleep (38 million views as of August 2022). In August of 2017, Shane Dawson featured her during an interview. She also reached 1,000,000 users shortly afterwards. In February 2019, Wired UK estimated that she earned $1,000 a day from advertising revenue on her YouTube channel.

Dennis Helfer along with Elaine Helfer were the parents of Helfer who was born. Her parents are of German and English descent. She attended her school, the William E. Hay Composite High School, located within Stettler (Alberta). Three sisters she shared with lived on the family's wheat farm. A modeling agency scout discovered Helfer at the age of 17 when she was waiting in line for a screening.
