Amanda Brugel

(February 27th of 2010 to Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a sleepy community on this part of the island of Montreal called the West Island. It is a part of the island that has been called "the West Island." West Island has a lot of diverse communities. For those who haven't known about it may think it is a separate, west-facing island. Amanda Brugel grew up on the West Island, and it is commonly known as the place where she was born. It is true that she stayed there for a short duration. Brugel developed on Courtice located just outside Oshawa within Ontario. She had a dream to be a dancer however a rapid growth rate meant that she literally outgrew her dance partner. The article she wrote about her experience revealed that was published in the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall when wearing heels. Once I surpassed my male counterparts, I stopped. A lot of former dancers go on to acting, and in the case of Brugel, it was a nudge from the drama instructor at her high school which led her in the right direction. The teacher was the one who suggested she audition as Anne in their annual school production. She was the teacher who suggested that she take on a part in the school's annual production. Following her award of the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she attended York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2000. Over the past 20 years, her roles in the world of television and on the screen have been numerous. The character of Rita from the award-winning series The Handmaid's Tale was her most notable. Brugel was the sole Canadian actress in the season 1 which was viewed only occasionally.
